The Lectric XP Trike2 starts at $1,499 for the Standard 500W Stratus White version at Tampa Bay eBikes. The Upgraded 750W Stratus White option is $1,799—a $300 difference as checked October 20, 2026. Prices may change, and build and assembly fees apply. The main differences are motor output, battery capacity and pedal sensing.
Before checkout, compare the assistance you want with your storage and transport needs. Both versions use the same published chassis dimensions and payload limits. A folding frame is useful, but the trike still weighs 79 lb before adding its battery and accessories.
What the $300 Upgrade Changes
The upgraded version includes a higher-output motor, larger battery and selectable torque or cadence sensing. The figures below are manufacturer specifications. Actual range varies with rider and cargo load, speed, assist level, terrain and weather.
| Feature | Standard 500W | Upgraded 750W |
| Price | $1,499 | $1,799 |
| Motor | 500W / 1092W peak | 750W / 1310W peak |
| Torque | 65 Nm | 85Nm |
| Battery | 48V 13Ah (624Wh) | 48V 17.5Ah / 840Wh |
| Sensing | Cadence sensor | Torque or cadence |
| Top speed | 14 mph | 17 mph |
| Max range | Up to 50 miles | Up to 70 miles |
The 750W version has 20Nm more listed torque and 216Wh more battery capacity. Those differences help explain what changes with the upgrade, but they do not prove how far you will ride or how it will perform on your particular route. Both versions retain the same load limits.
Select Your XP Trike2 Model
Review current inventory, select between the 500W and 750W performance packages, and confirm build specifications before finalizing your order.
Pedal Response and Drive System
The standard 500W model uses a 12-magnet cadence sensor that responds to crank rotation. Assistance follows the selected mode. This differs from torque sensing, which responds to pedaling effort rather than rotation alone.
The 750W version lets you choose torque or cadence sensing in its settings. If a demo is available, compare both responses before deciding. Both versions have a rear differential that supplies power to both rear wheels; it does not make the trike tip-proof.
Both versions use a single-speed chain drivetrain with a 36-tooth chainring and 16-tooth freewheel. There are no derailleur gears to shift. A half-twist throttle is also provided; ask staff to explain its operation and the assist settings.
Shared Components and Controls
Both versions have a Cloud 50 front suspension fork with 50mm of travel, adjustable preload and lockout. Shared equipment also includes 20×2.5-inch tires and a removable color TFT display. A fit check should include reaching and operating the controls comfortably.

- Star Union hydraulic disc brakes use 180mm rotors.
- Front and rear parking brakes are operated through the brake levers; ask staff for a demonstration.
- A removable color TFT display shows ride information and settings.
- Lighting includes a headlight, brake-activated rear light and rear turn signals.
- A Beginner Preset limits Eco and Tour modes to 5 mph.
Payload Limits and Weight Distribution
Lectric rates the XP Trike2 for a total payload of 415 lb. Stay within that overall limit and the individual rider, rack and basket ratings. Choosing the 750W version does not increase the published capacity.

The maximum allowable rider weight is 330 lb. The integrated rear cargo rack supports up to 75 lb, while an optional front basket can carry up to 30 lb. Loading cargo onto the trike reduces the remaining capacity available for the rider so that the 415 lb limit is never exceeded.
Follow the manufacturer’s loading instructions and confirm accessory compatibility with the shop. Do not add the individual cargo limits on top of the 415 lb total.
Folding Dimensions and Vehicle Transport
The folding frame can help with storage, but weight still matters. Lectric lists 79 lb without the battery. Adding the listed battery weights gives approximately 86 lb for the standard model and 88 lb for the long-range version, before extra accessories. Confirm the equipped weight for your loading plan.

The frame folds at the main hinge and handlebar mast for storage in suitable utility spaces.
When unfolded, the trike measures 65 inches long, 30 inches wide, and 43 inches high. Folded with the front wheel attached, dimensions measure 36.5 inches long, 38 inches wide, and 26 inches high. Removing the front thru-axle wheel narrows the folded width to 30 inches.
Measure doorway openings, turns, vehicle cargo hatches and any loading equipment before purchase. Compare those measurements with the folded dimensions, and ask for a folding demonstration. Plan assistance or suitable loading equipment if you cannot comfortably handle the trike’s weight.
Pre-Checkout Buyer Checklist
Before placing an order, check the details that determine whether the trike fits your use, storage and transport plans:
- Select between the Standard 500W ($1,499) and Upgraded 750W ($1,799) performance packages based on your terrain and range expectations.
- Confirm current retail pricing and account for local professional build and assembly fees.
- Verify included accessories with the shop, as online manufacturer bundle promotions do not automatically apply to local store orders.
- Use the suggested 4 ft 10 in to 6 ft 2 in height range as a starting point, then check actual saddle fit, reach and control access.
- Calculate your combined rider and cargo weight to confirm it remains below the 415 lb total payload limit.
- Measure hallway corners, doorways, and vehicle trunks against the folded 36.5 by 38 by 26 inch footprint.
- Request an in-person fit assessment and transport demonstration at your local shop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a three-wheeled trike handle like a traditional bicycle?
A trike handles differently from a two-wheel bicycle. Slow down before turning, follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and ask staff to demonstrate steering and braking. Three wheels do not make it tip-proof.
Are electric trikes permitted on all public bike trails?
Check the current rules for each path or riding area before visiting. Neither the motor rating nor the trike’s three-wheel layout establishes permission to ride there.
Can the battery be charged while installed on the frame?
Yes, the XP Trike2 includes an external charging port on the frame for direct charging. You can also unlock the battery using the supplied key and bring it indoors for charging.
Who can explain warranty and service support?
Ask Tampa Bay eBikes to explain the applicable manufacturer warranty, claim process and any exclusions before purchase. The shop can also explain available local service and support.
